During her time with the company she was a featured soloist in "Black and White", "Bedtime Stories", "Rumi", and "String". In addition, Lesley was presented in dance films "Laundry Mat" and "Gun Under the Bed". Lesley also choreographed an original piece "Things that Go Bump" with Off Center Dance. Lesley trained in Los Angeles at the Edge Performing Arts Center where she worked with top name choreographers. Recently, she lived in Las Vegas where she worked with local companies performing around the city. While in Vegas Lesley trained at The Rock Center for Dance. She also worked with Las Vegas agencies doing runway, print, and dance/fitness modeling. She was featured in Circus Couture's "Possessions" as a dancer/model on the runway. As a dance educator for over 15 years, Lesley has shared her love of dance with students throughout the west. She has had the privilege of being a part of the faculty at Elevated Dance Project, and Center Stage Studios in Boise, ID and The Dance Zone in Las Vegas, NV. She joined the faculty at Allegro Performing Arts Academy this past fall where she continues to teach a variety of styles of dance. In addition to dance, Lesley received her BA in Psychology from Boise State University in 2009. She is also a certified Yoga Instructor through "The Craft" and a Barre Bohemian certified instructor by Adrienne Kimberly. This practice will begin with an extended yin flight practice, working the connective tissue of the body to support joint mobility while guided meditation and breathwork practices allow you to access the “rest and digest” function of the central nervous system. Bringing yin into the aerial hammock allows you to envelop yourself, creating a cocoon in which you are able to completely immerse yourself in your practice. Following yin, experience the deep relaxation of yoga nidra, a guided yogic meditation that allows the body and mind to still the movements of the thinking brain and access a conscious sleeplike state. As we approach the summer solstice, we celebrate the completion of the cycle that began at the winter solstice. In the midst of the longest day of the year, we begin the journey into the short, darker, days; this time is the perfect opportunity to reflect, reset, and refresh your self-care routine, enabling you to shine light into your own cob-webby corners and move with greater understanding and purpose.
